the mini session experience

Over the last 13 years I've perfected mini sessions. We capture over 300 families a year with mini session, meaning we know how to provide beautiful results quickly. Mini sessions work best with smaller families, though you can book two back-to-back if you have a larger family. These are perfect for those who don't love taking pictures yet still want to remember this time in their life with their family. If you need something bigger, consider a full session, which can be booked through out the year ( with the exception of our styled holiday sessions ) and include an even detailed experience.

Submit a contact form and let us know which mini you'd like to book. From there we will send you over a link to book the mini session!

1. Say Hello

We will send over all of the next steps to complete your booking process. 

2. Schedule it

It's time to plan outfits! All sessions include a style guide and access to our styling app. Additionally, all minis include a prep guide. If you're shooting in the studio, you have full use of our client closet for your session!

3. Planning it

The day of your session is here! This is when we will shoot your session. We always recommend planning to arrive 15 minutes early. Minis come and go VERY fast - and its always imperative to be on time to be early mini session. 

4. Your Session

Your digital gallery will be emailed to you within 2 weeks. All sessions include a print release with the option to purchase extra digitals + physical products. We offer a wide variety of lux products such as albums, wall art, and photo gifts. All sessions included a select number images depending on the session.

Every mini session that we host includes access to our styling app, an extensive prep guide, and expertly guided posing to ensure that your mini session is flawless! Mini sessions are designed to provide you with a carefully curated selection of digital images, ensuring quality and attention to detail in every image. As an added bonus, all studio sessions include full access to our lux client closet.

I cannot recommend Shanyn enough! Need a feel good shoot? Boudoir? Family? Maternity? Cake smash? She’s done it all for my family and every time I come out shocked at the result. Our last family session was about 20 minutes because my kids wouldn’t stop crying, it was chaos, no one was participating and I even cried because I was so frustrated. But then Shanyn delivered a full album of photos that I couldn’t even believe how she was able to make us look that put together. She is our forever photographer!

Shanyn has been documenting our family’s milestones (Maternity, Newborn, family, minis) for the last two years and we are so grateful we found her! She is very easy to work with and the final images are always stunning and timeless. She helps you pose and provides guidance to make you look good which is so important. She is the best with little ones - our toddler loves her and always warms up to her quickly. Our sessions are always fun and she captures such a wide variety of photos, even during minis. For newborn sessions all you have to do is bring the baby to the studio and she takes it from there which is wonderful when you just had a baby and are exhausted. Shanyn also has a client closet full of unique dresses that photograph really well and you can try them on in the studio before your session. We can’t wait for our next session!
