The maternity Experience
Whether we are going to adventure to a beautiful desert or river location in Phoenix or we are going to the comfort of the studio. Together we will freeze this moment in time for you to cherish forever. As your Phoenix maternity photographer I will be there with you every step of the way, from planning your maternity photography session to guiding you with artwork placement throughout your home.
9 months fly by in the blink of an eye. let's create a beautiful masterpiece to cherish for a lifetime.
When you're ready to get the process started for your maternity session, the first step is to send an email. We will schedule a time to chat to ensure we are the perfect match for each other and answer all of your questions.
1. Say Hello
Most expectant mothers schedule their maternity session early in their 2nd trimester. If you're having 1 baby, I recommend scheduling when you're 28-33 weeks along. If you're having multiples, I recommend scheduling your session sooner.
2. Schedule it
After we schedule your session we will start planning your dream maternity session. We will go over outfits, locations if you're shooting outside, backdrops for in studio, and your vision. If you're shooting in studio we will go over optional add ons, such as hair & makeup. Before your session you'll be sent guides to go over how to prepare best, including what to bring (and what not to bring).
3. Planning it
The day of your session has finally arrived and you cannot be more excited. Upon arrival we will go over the outfits a final time, ensure everything fits perfectly, and I'll guide you through each pose. For in studio sessions, we will immediately view your images together after your session. Sunset sessions will view their images the following day.
4. Your Session
3 weeks after you select your images it's time to enjoy them! All digital images are sent via digital download. Prints and products can be picked up at the studio or hand delivered. For those who are having their maternity photos taken on their baby moon, their products will be mailed to them directly.

Sessions include a welcome & prep guide to help prepare you for your maternity experience, a photography session at my Mesa, Arizona studio, or on location in the East valley, a private online viewing gallery with all of your final edited images, and a design and ordering consultation, online or in person. Maternity sessions include full access to our prop collection as well as client closet. Maternity sessions are designed to provide clients with a carefully curated selection of digital images, ensuring quality and attention to detail in every image. Additional digital images, prints, albums, wall art, and more are available. Maternity + first year bundles available. And last, but not least, maternity sessions include expertly guided posing to ensure you always look you best.

Maternity session
I cannot recommend Shanyn enough! Need a feel good shoot? Boudoir? Family? Maternity? Cake smash? She’s done it all for my family and every time I come out shocked at the result. Our last family session was about 20 minutes because my kids wouldn’t stop crying, it was chaos, no one was participating and I even cried because I was so frustrated. But then Shanyn delivered a full album of photos that I couldn’t even believe how she was able to make us look that put together. She is our forever photographer!
Family Session
Shanyn has been documenting our family’s milestones (Maternity, Newborn, family, minis) for the last two years and we are so grateful we found her! She is very easy to work with and the final images are always stunning and timeless. She helps you pose and provides guidance to make you look good which is so important. She is the best with little ones - our toddler loves her and always warms up to her quickly. Our sessions are always fun and she captures such a wide variety of photos, even during minis. For newborn sessions all you have to do is bring the baby to the studio and she takes it from there which is wonderful when you just had a baby and are exhausted. Shanyn also has a client closet full of unique dresses that photograph really well and you can try them on in the studio before your session. We can’t wait for our next session!
